Sodium Sink Scrub Powder:
Wellness Mama's Excellent Mineral-Based Scouring Powder Cleanser

Katie Wells (Wellness Mama®) has presented an excellent scouring powder recipe. And it's all made with minerals!

I learned of this recipe a few years ago when Bon Ami stopped making a version without synthetic chemicals, and I was looking for an alternative natural scrub powder cleanser. I have modified the recipe slightly to simplify it.

Wellness Mama's recipe works great! One neat thing about it is that all three active ingredients are mineral compounds of the mineral sodium:

Add the above three sodium-based ingredients to a jar. Each ingredient is a slightly different color white, so it's usually possible to estimate amounts visually by the layers' thickness, without exact measurement.

Leave around 1/3 of the jar empty to allow room for mixing. Cover tightly, and shake well to mix!

Sprinkle a little of the sodium scrub powder on stainless steel sinks or pots. Then add a small amount of water to make a paste, and scrub away — with the triple powers of the mineral sodium!
